Miss World 2025: Telangana government prepares comprehensive plan for contestants

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the state government has prepared a detailed action plan to conduct the 72nd Miss World competitions from May 10 to 31 in Hyderabad.

The event is set to become a milestone in the state’s history and the government aims to use it as a golden opportunity to attract large-scale investments into Telangana.

Miss World Limited Chairperson and CEO Julia Evelyn Morley, Miss World Kerry, and other delegates arrived on May 2 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, and were given a grand welcome.

Contestants from around 120 countries will participate in this mega event and are expected to reach Hyderabad from May 2 to 8, said a press release.

Miss World 2025 travel itinerary:

Contestants participating in the Miss World competitions will visit the Buddhavanam Project and Buddhist Theme Park at Nagarjuna Sagar on May 12. Following the Buddhist spiritual tour, a Heritage Walk will be organised at Charminar and Laad Bazaar.

To highlight the richness of Hyderabad’s cultural heritage, the contestants will be taken to visit Chowmahalla Palace on May 13.

On May 14, the first group will visit historic and spiritual sites such as the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort; whereas the second group will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ramappa Temple.

On May 15, the first group will visit the Yadagirigutta Temple and the second group will explore handloom weaving and demonstrations in Pochampally.

A medical tourism event will be held at AIG Hospital, Hyderabad, on May 16. Later on, the contestants will visit the ancient Pillalamarri tree in Mahbubnagar and Experium Eco Park.

Miss World Sports finals will be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 17. Following this, contestants will visit Ramoji Film City.

Contestants will visit the Telangana Police Integrated Command & Control Centre to observe government initiatives on citizen safety on May 18. Officials will brief cthem on Telangana’s growth story and history.

Continental Finale Fast-track regional cluster-based selections will be held on May 20-21. The first group will attend an IPL match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and the second group will attend an arts and crafts workshop conducted by artisans at Shilparamam.

Miss World Talent finale event will be held on May 22 and the head-to-head challenge finale will be held on May 23.

The contestants will participate in the top model, fashion finale, and jewellery/pearl presentation on May 24.

They will present their social projects in the ‘Beauty with a purpose event’ on May 26 and the grand finale will be on May 31.
