Kullu school ushers in new student leaders
Kullu Valley School held its investiture and swearing-in ceremony for the 2025-26 academic year on May 1, in an event celebrating student leadership and responsibility. The occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected school council, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of discipline, service and leadership.
The ceremony unfolded with an air of solemnity and purpose as students, teachers and administrators gathered to witness the new leaders take oaths. Kartikeshwar Singh and Kritika Tharmani were sworn in as head boy and head girl respectively, their pledges setting an inspiring precedent for the entire council. Their commitment to lead by example and uphold the school’s core values resonated throughout the assembly.
Following their induction, house captains and vice-captains of the school’s four houses — Ashoka, Maurya, Shivaji and Pratap — stepped forward to accept their leadership roles. Jasmine Anand (Ashoka), Aaradhya Subehia (Maurya), Mayank Thakur (Shivaji) and Nirali Singh (Pratap) took charge as House Captains, supported by Vice Captains Manvi Thakur (Ashoka), Aaradhya Thakur (Maurya), Sanvi Paul (Shivaji) and Noshin Sharma (Pratap). With unwavering resolve, each student took an oath to serve their house with integrity, enthusiasm and a spirit of collaboration.
The principal, Sanjeev Bhardwaj, spoke about the importance of student leadership in shaping the school community. He congratulated the new council and reminded them of the responsibilities their positions entail.
