Newborn kidnapped from maternity ward of Government Medical College in Maharashtra's Sangli district

In a shocking incident, a three-day-old infant was kidnapped from the maternity ward of Govt Medical Hospital in Miraj. A woman, under the guise of taking the baby for a vaccine, disappeared with the newborn while the mother's relatives were at lunch. Police are investigating using CCTV footage and questioning rickshaw drivers, while the hospital has formed an inquiry committee and tightened security measures.
