The vibrant and diverse realm of Indian industry is known not just about captivating stories and talented actors; it’s also about magnificent songs that stay forever in our hearts and minds. Some of these songs come with a hefty price tag attached to them, showcasing creativity and grandeur like never before. One of these songs isn’t just the most expensive in Indian cinema, but also features the biggest superstar of the country.

The song was shot in 3D and captured the whole vibe of the sci-fi film. It is none other than the title track Endhira Logathu Sundariye from Rajinikanth’s magnums opus drama 2.0, released in 2018. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is one of the most expensive Indian films made on an estimated budget of Rs 400 crore, according to Wikipedia.

Song Endhira Logathu Sundariye was featured in one of the costliest movies of the time. According to a report by India Times, the song boasted a budget of around Rs 20 crore. It was considered the biggest track ever in Indian cinema, in terms of extravagant scale and budget.

The vocals were by Sid Sriram and Shashaa Tirupati with lyrics written by Anantha Sriram. The music was composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. Ace choreographer Bosco Martis conceptualised the whole song, and gave those captivating moves to actor Rajnikanth and actress Amy Jackson, that settled well with the vibe of the film.

Since the song features robots, Bosco said he tried to add the robotic flavour to their moves. As per Zoom TV, the choreographer revealed, “Honestly, knowing Rajinikanth sir, we had set certain body language for the steps but the grace and energy he possesses, especially in his walk, left all of us in awe of him, including dancers from abroad. He didn’t try and get even a single step changed or make it simple. He saw it when we rehearsed and he was ready to go. We executed everything we had planned.”

2.0 starred Akshay Kumar as the villain. A sequel to the 2010 hit film Enthiran, the sci-film featured Rajinikanth in dual roles- Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti, the Robot. The film also starred Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and Kalabhavan Shajohn.
