Nashik: NMC Issues Notices To Dangerous Buildings

With the monsoon season just a few days away, it is being reported that the Nashik Municipal Corporation has started issuing notices to dangerous buildings, old mansions and houses in some parts of the city, including the old Nashik area.

Meanwhile, there are indications that the Qazigarhi issue, which has become extremely dangerous, will continue to heat up this year as well. Because there is no concrete plan from the Municipal Corporation for this. Every year during monsoon in the city, old buildings crack, while in some places the walls of houses collapse. Therefore, the Municipal Corporation has already started preparations to prevent possible accidents and is working on preparing a list of dangerous houses and sending notices to the concerned.

Thousands of devotees always throng the Ganga Ghat area. Due to this, the condition of dangerous mansions near the ghat is getting worse. Although the Municipal Corporation's notices are a start, citizens say that it is difficult to avoid possible accidents if immediate measures are not taken at this place.

On the other hand, the Qazigarhi issue still persists and has been pending for the past several years. Despite repeated representations from local citizens and social organizations, no concrete decision has been taken yet. Therefore, in this context, the demand is gaining momentum that merely issuing notices is not enough, but that the Municipal Corporation should take a clear stand and immediately implement the long-pending problems in various parts of the city.
