Preview:
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be desperate to get their IPL 2025 campaign back on track as they run into an in-form Punjab Kings. The picturesque Dharamsala stadium will stage its first venue of the season as the Punjab Kings play in their other home venue of the tournament, aiming to take another step to seal their playoff spot.
Much like last year, the Super Giants have been largely inconsistent in IPL 2025 as well and are currently stuck in the mid-table logjam with five wins and as many defeats. Rishabh Pant's form has been hurting the Super Giants right from the start of the tournament and the keeper-batter only scored one half-century in the tournament, averaging a woeful of 12.22. If the Super Giants are to win the remaining matches and seal a playoff spot, Pant must find form.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are well and truly in contention to seal a playoff spot as they are currently 4th in the points table. A seventh win would nearly confirm their spot in the top four. With Shreyas Iyer leading from the front, it looms as an excellent prospect for the Punjab Kings and they should start as favourites against the Super Giants.
