Lord Parshuram’s ideals inspire all to unite society: Cooperation Minister
Cooperation, Jails and Tourism Minister Dr Arvind Sharma has said the ideals of Lord Parshuram inspire all to unite society and move forward together, and everyone should follow these.
Sharma said this while addressing a gathering at a felicitation event organised at HSVP Sector 2 here on Sunday. He paid floral tributes at the statue of Lord Parshuram and took a pledge to serve society.
The minister also announced that the state-level celebration of Parshuram Jayanti, initially scheduled for May 17 in Peharawar, Rohtak, would now take place on May 30, due to a scheduled meeting of the Chief Minister. People from across Haryana are expected to attend the event in large numbers. He also announced a donation of Rs 11 lakh from his voluntary fund to the Lord Parshuram Public Welfare Committee for developmental initiatives.
Sharma said Brahmins had historically played a key role in Independence, and continued to be integral to preserving it. He said CM Saini was a leader of all communities and carried forward the tradition of honouring saints and great personalities.
Sharma highlighted developments, including the construction of Pt Nekiram Sharma Government Medical College in Bhiwani and Lord Parshuram Government Medical College in Kaithal.
He said the BJP government had declared Parshuram Jayanti a state holiday, and transparency in government jobs had been a blessing for the youth.
He urged young people to work hard and actively contribute to nation building.
Talking about various government schemes, the minister claimed that the state government was working to uplift every community and section of society.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vishwevaranand Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Parmanand Maharaj and international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt were among those present at the event.
