Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reached Majhauli this evening and visited Lord Vishnu Varaha.

He offered prayers at the temple and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.

Upon reaching the temporary helipad built at the sports ground in Majhauli, the Chief Minister was welcomed by the Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, MP Ashish Dubey, MLA Ajay Vishnoi, and BJP district rural president Rajkumar Patel.

The temple about 45 kilometers from the district headquarters of Jabalpur, was built in the 11th century.

This Kalchuri-era temple, which was destroyed over time, was rebuilt in the 18th century.

The temple is included in the state-protected monuments.

Strong winds damage four towers

Strong winds damaged four towers of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company’s 220 kV Amarkantak–Sidhi and 220 kV Sidhi–Rewa transmission circuits located in the Vindhya region.

As a result, power flow in the 220 kV Amarkantak–Sidhi circuit was affected.

However, due to the availability of an alternative transmission supply at the 220 kV Sidhi substation, there was no disruption in power supply in the region.

Chief engineer of MP Transco, Sandeep Gaikwad, stated that sudden weather deterioration around the Son River in the Vindhya region led to the complete damage of two towers in the above-mentioned circuits, while two other towers were partially affected.

Among these, one is a special 72-meter-high transmission tower installed for the Son River crossing.

Despite the difficult geographical conditions, repair work on the damaged towers has begun on a war footing.

It may take at least three weeks to restore power supply through the affected circuits.
