Rishabh Pant Named Captain Of IPL 2025 'Frauds & Scammers Team’ By Iceland Cricket Amid Poor Form

Star India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has struggled big time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2025. Sold to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the most expensive price tag in the IPL history at Rs 27 crore, Pant has underperformed both as a batter and as the team's captain so far in the IPL 2025. Recently, Iceland Cricket, known for their sarcastic social media posts, took a cheeky dig at underperforming players by naming a team of the biggest ‘frauds and scammers’ of IPL 2025.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Iceland Cricket shared a tongue-in-cheek XI featuring the likes of Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Glenn Maxwell, Liam Livingstone, Deepak Hooda, R Ashwin, and Mohammed Shami, labelling them as the biggest ‘frauds and scammers’ of IPL 2025. Notably, Rishabh Pant was named the captain of this satirical lineup.

His average in recent games has dipped to 12.80, and notably, his strike rate has fallen below 100 for the first time in the tournament.
