‘It Is A Very Dark Place’: Bigg Boss 17 Fame Soniya Bansal QUITS Acting After 5 Films
Actress Soniya Bansal, who shot to fame with her participation in Bigg Boss 17, has decided to quit acting after working in five films. She stated that while she has the work and money, she was lacking peace in her life, and she now wants to be a life coach and guide people.
In an interaction with ETimes, Soniya shared, “We are so much into doing everything for others that we forget ourselves. I realized I don’t even know what my true purpose is anymore. In this race to be perfect, to stay relevant, and to earn more, I lost myself."
“Money, fame, popularity I had it all. But what I didn’t have was peace. And what will you do with the money if you’re not at peace? You may have everything externally, but if you’re empty inside, it’s a very dark place to be,” she added.
Opening on why she now wishes to be a life coach and spiritual healer, the actress stated, “I want to deeply study what I really want in life. This industry gave me recognition, but it didn’t give me stillness. It didn’t allow me to breathe. I don’t want to pretend anymore. I want to live authentically, for myself and be a Life Coach and Spiritual Healer.”
“You never know when your life will change. You never know when death might knock. And if we haven’t lived truthfully by then, what’s the point of this entire journey?” she quipped.
Soniya was the first contestant to get evicted from the Bigg Boss 17 house. In 2019, she marked her acting debut with the film Naughty Gang. She went on to star in films like Dubki, Game 100 Crore Ka, Shoorveer and Dheera.
If reports are to be believed, she is currently shooting for Yes Boss, which will be her last film, before she bids goodbye to the industry.
