Video: RPF Conducts Mock Drill Rehearsal At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus In Mumbai

As part of a nationwide preparedness initiative, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Tuesday conducted a mock drill at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), organized by the Central Railway.

Visuals of the rehearsal shared by news agencies show the RPF team, accompanied by sniffer dogs and equipped with various gadgets, conducting searches on platforms and inside train coaches.

The Union Home Ministry has directed all states to conduct mock drills on Wednesday in view of the "new and complex threats" that have emerged amid rising tensions with Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.

According to reports, mock drills will be carried out at 16 locations across Maharashtra on Wednesday.

"Mock drills will be conducted in Mumbai, Uran, Tarapur, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Roha-Nagothane, Manmad, Sinnar, Thal Vaishet, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Aurangabad, Bhusawal, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg," news agency IANS reported, citing state government sources.

According to reports, ministers and guardian ministers in the state have been asked to stay in close contact with the local administration.
