"We should dream of Akhand Bharat not of Khandit Bharat": Says Indresh Kumar, Member Of All-India Executive Committee, RSS
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A member of the all-India executive committee of the RSS, Indresh Kumar, has said people must dream of Akhand Bharat (an undivided India) and not of Khandit Bharat (a divided India).
Kumar made the statement during a discussion organised by Niti Aayog. It was part of a series of talks held by the Aayog.
Before independence, everyone living in the country was Hindustani (Indian), he said. There were no hate-mongers and cunning people, Kumar said. “We should pray for getting back our old country,” he said. Hindustan needs governments to keep the country riot-free, Kumar said.
According to him, high moral values are necessary along with education. “An individual becomes a criminal without moral values, and if the service is not linked with earnings, he becomes corrupt,” Kumar said.
There should be a study on this aspect, and everyone should try to achieve excellence in work, he said.
An attack by terrorists rattles the country, he said. Efforts should be made to keep a man free from being fundamentally a terrorist or a violent individual, he said.
Kumar further said dialogues should not turn into bitterness. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said people were not acquainted with what was being taught in the name of the syllabus.
Education has been made an object of pomp and show since the days of the British rule, Yadav said. “Our local method puts a question mark on the education system, he said.
Yadav cited an example from his childhood. Yadav said when his father told him to work in the family shop and study, he did that. “We had to earn and learn. This is our education system,” Yadav said.
