GT Beat MI In A Last-Ball Thriller: Here's How They Stand In Points Table
IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians in their IPL 2025 Match 56 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 6. With the win, MI/GT are now on top of the table with 16 points, surpassing RCB due to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).
Shubman Gill led from the front by delivering a Player of the Match performance.
Here's what he said after the match:
"Definitely. There was a little bit of chaos when we came to bat after the break. But it was good to get this result. The game plans were different when we were batting in the powerplay when there was some rain. It felt like a Test match and we thought of playing normal cricket. The rain kept coming and it was not easy to come back in and play."
"On this wicket, pretty challenging. The wicket was little bit slow. To play the shots and hit through the line wasn't easy. Lot of emotions. Most of them were frustrating because at one stage, we were ahead of the game. But one of those phases of play when we lost four wickets. Felt like a Test match. But we got one more chance and we got across the line."
"A match where match goes till the last ball when you are chasing 150, every contribution is crucial. Small small things in the field, those are the moments that make you win the game. Even after this game, the wins like these help you get ahead in the IPL."
"It's not easy for him (Rashid Khan) to come back from injury. He's working hard in the nets. The way he bowled today, it's a great sign for us. Thoughts like these can creep in. We want to take each game the way it comes. We don't want to think about third or fourth position. We just want to be a great team going forward."
