'Consumers spend more on durables, FMCG in FY25'

Fueled by rising incomes, Indian consumers significantly increased spending on consumer durables and FMCG in FY25. Multi-brand outlets rebounded strongly, while quick commerce experienced a surge due to hyper-localisation. North India led cash-based consumption, supported by a robust cash infrastructure with increased currency circulation, ATMs, and bank branches.
