Union Bank probes lapses in purchase of books for Rs 7cr
Union Bank of India is investigating irregularities in the purchase of 1.89 lakh books by KV Subramanian, costing ₹7.25 crore. The books, intended for distribution by zonal offices, faced procurement lapses. The bank has suspended a general manager and stated that the matter currently has no material impact on its operations or financials.
