FACT CHECK: Did India ask people to take precautionary measures, keep essential items ready at home?

For the past few days, India has been fighting a particularly vicious war, not on the borders with Pakistan, but in the cyber domain. Pakistan's propaganda machine has been spewing much venom, in the form of attempts to tarnish decorated Indian armed forces officers and with claims that Pakistan has been able to strike military bases in India.
Pro-Pakistan handles in social media had also circulated a false advisory claiming that people in India have been urged to stock up on essentials.
"In light of the ongoing tense situation at the border, we urge everyone to remain calm, stay alert, and take the following precautionary measures to ensure your safety and preparedness," the false advisory being circulated read.

It claimed that people have been asked to keep Rs 50,000 in hand, medicines for two days, stock non-perishable goods and ensure a backup power supply, among others.
PIB Fact Check clarified that no such advisory has been issued by Indian authorities.
"An image of an advisory is being shared online, claiming that the Government has urged individuals to take precautionary measures and keep essential items ready at home," PIB said and clarified that this is a fake claim and that the government has not issued any such advisory.
