Gujarat frees Rs 10,000 crore worth of encroached govt land in statewide crackdown

Gujarat government reclaimed over 3,047 hectares of land. This land was previously under illegal encroachment. The market value of the recovered land is estimated to be over ₹10,000 crore. A state-wide campaign was launched in September 2024. Ahmedabad district saw the highest amount of land recovered. Government aims to free all government land from encroachment.
