VIDEO l Pune Celebrates Operation Sindoor: BJP Workers Offer Puja At Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir To Honour Armed Forces

Hailing the success of Operation Sindoor, BJP party workers in Pune performed a special puja and celebrated at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir on Wednesday to honour the Indian Armed Forces.

Kasba MLA Hemant Rasane performed the puja.

Retaliating against the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.

Two people from Pune were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir.

Two businessmen from Karve Nagar, Santosh Jagdale and Kaustubh Ganbote, sustained gunshot wounds in the dastardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam and later succumbed. Jagdale was part of a five-member group, which also included his wife Pragati, daughter Asavari, Kaustubh Ganbote and Sangita Ganbote, who travelled to Pahalgam.

'A fitting tribute'

Meanwhile, Pragati Jagdale, whose husband Santosh was one of the 26 people killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, on Wednesday described 'Operation Sindoor' as a fitting tribute to the victims.

The daughter of Santosh Jagdale—one of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack—expressed her sentiments on the strike carried out by Indian forces.

Speaking to ANI, Jagdale said, "We were crying with happiness. Modi has taken revenge, and the way the operation was named, our tears wouldn't stop. Those sisters whose sindoor (symbol of marital status) was erased by these terrorists—India has struck them at nine locations. It feels truly different, and our tears of joy just won't stop."

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, including several tourists from Maharashtra.
