When it comes to South Indian films, their compelling stories, strong performances, and relatable characters are widely appreciated, but besides this, South’s thriller films are particularly notable for their gripping narratives, suspenseful plot twists, and unexpected turns that keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.

One such gripping film that will keep your heart racing from start to end is ‘Golam’, a mystery movie that came out in 2024 in the Malayalam language. Soon becoming thriller enthusiasts’ favourite, this film’s plot was around an office boss from an IT company who comes to the office and then goes to the washroom after a while, but he never comes back. When panic sets in among employees, they open the restroom with a backup key; however, what they find out there completely shocks them – the boss’s dead body is found there.

Keeping the audience hooked and mysterious, it kept everyone guessing what was going to happen next.  The police are brought in to make an inquiry, and the office employees are questioned one by one. As the suspense builds, some of the shocking truth is revealed, and the true perpetrator starts to come into view—but not before a few twists and turns that will have your brain reeling.

The movie features Ranjit Sajeev, Srikanth Murali, Siddique, and Karthik Shankar, and all of them deliver solid performances. With an IMDB rating of 7.2, Golam is full of mind-twisting suspense, emotional content, and an engaging storyline that competes with even Drishyam’s.
