Bengaluru Woman Claims Hidden Camera In Restaurant Washroom, FIR Filed
A Bengaluru woman has come forward with serious allegations of being secretly recorded in the restroom of a well-known restaurant in Koramangala. The incident, which she described as a traumatic experience, occurred on April 25 at Anand Sweets and Savouries, a popular eatery frequented by families and long-time patrons.
The woman shared her ordeal through a detailed post on Instagram recounting how she became suspicious while using the restroom. She wrote that as she crouched to inspect the ventilation slats, she spotted a mobile phone positioned from the adjacent stall. The device moved, confirming her worst fears—that someone was attempting to record her, as per a report on Times Now.
'Secretly Filmed In Restaurant Washroom'
Taking to Instagram, the user said, "On April 25th, I was recorded inside a washroom at a trusted, popular place I’ve visited since childhood. What followed was a nightmare—panic, police, confessions, and emotional manipulation. They told me to stay quiet ‘for my business’ and to ‘move on.’ But I refused. Because silence protects predators. To every woman out there: you're not paranoid for checking. You're not overreacting for speaking up. You're powerful. And you deserve safety—even in a washroom."
The woman said that despite the emotional stress, she refused to be silenced. Between 10 PM and 2:30 AM, she alleged, several employees attempted to downplay the situation and apply pressure to dissuade her from pursuing legal action.
She eventually filed a First Information Report (FIR), standing firm against what she described as attempts to manipulate or intimidate her into silence.
Following public outcry on social media, Anand Sweets and Savouries issued a statement acknowledging the incident and stating they are fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
