Tamil Nadu Jewellery Shop Gets Surprise Visit From A Deer – WATCH
In a turn of events to an ordinary business day, a jewellery store in Somanur, Coimbatore witnessed an unexpected visitor—a deer, which wandered into the shop, causing brief alarm among staff and patrons before exiting as calmly as it arrived.
Deer Pays Visit
The unusual incident unfolded during regular working hours with the store moderately crowded. CCTV footage captured the moment the deer walked in through the main entrance, triggering a wave of startled reactions, as reported by India Today. While there was some initial panic, the atmosphere quickly settled as the animal showed no signs of aggression.
Appearing slightly dazed—likely by the store’s bright lighting and reflective surfaces—the deer quietly explored the showroom. Store employees and customers maintained a safe distance, avoiding any attempt to corner or startle the animal. Within minutes, the deer found its way back out to the street, disappearing into the surrounding area without causing any harm or damage.
Wildlife experts suggest that increased encroachment into forested areas and habitat disruptions may be leading to such rare urban sightings.
This encounter comes shortly after a similar incident in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district, where a leopard was found inside a police station—highlighting a growing trend of wildlife venturing into human-populated areas.
