Operation Sindoor: Pakistan Vows Retaliation As Shehbaz Authorises Military To Undertake 'Corresponding Action'

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the armed forces of the country have been duly authorized to undertake corresponding actions in regard to the attack by India. In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India carried out strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir late at night on Tuesday.

According to a press briefing by the Prime Minister's office of Pakistan, the NSC termed the strikes as "unprovoked, cowardly, and unlawful act of war."

"In consonance with Article-51 of the UN Charter, Pakistan reserves the right to respond, in self-defence, at a time, place, and manner of its choosing to avenge the loss of innocent Pakistani lives and blatant violation of its sovereignty," the statement read.

"The Armed Forces of Pakistan have duly been authorised to undertake corresponding actions in this regard," it added.
