Mumbai Crime News: 37-Year-Old Man Killed After Speeding Car Hits Him While Crossing Road In Masjid Area; Driver Flees
Mumbai: A tragic hit-and-run case has emerged from the Masjid area in Mumbai, where a speeding car struck a man crossing the road, resulting in his death. Following a complaint, the Pydhonie police have registered a case against an unknown driver and launched a manhunt. The deceased has been identified as Fakhruddin Ramzan Syed (37).
About The Incident
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on May 6. Fakhruddin had gone out for a walk, and while crossing P D'Mello Road, a speeding car hit him from behind. The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Fakhruddin suffered serious injuries and was rushed to JJ Hospital with help from bystanders, but doctors declared him dead at around 6:15 a.m. on Monday. A complaint was lodged by his wife, based on which a case was registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
About Another Incident
In another accident in Borivali East, a speeding tanker hit a motorcycle rider, leading to his death. The deceased has been identified as Krishnanath Todankar (40). Kasturba Marg Police have arrested the tanker driver, Pravinbhai Somabhai Pagi (44), a resident of Gujarat.
According to officials, the incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. on May 6. Todankar was riding his bike to collect a parcel in Borivali West when a tanker on the Western Express Highway hit him from behind. He was critically injured and taken to Shatabdi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Further investigation is underway in both cases.
