Operation Sindoor is just first punishment for Pakistan, Modi govt set to give more pain to Islamabad and this is…

Operation Sindoor: The Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, a series of deadly, precision strikes on terror infrastructures deep inside Pakistan on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, to avenge last months heinous Pahalgam terror attack in which terrorists gunned down 26 civilians, mostly Indian Hindu tourists in Kashmir valley.

Hafiz Saeed wounded, Masood Azhar’s family, aides killed

In a press briefing in Delhi hours after the military strikes, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh revealed the details and objectives of Operation Sindoor. They said that a total of nine terror camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen, were targeted by Indian forces, four of which are in mainland Pakistan while the remaining in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

According to details, more than 70 terrorists and their sympathizers, including 10 family member and four close aides of JeM chief Masood Azhar, were killed in the strikes. Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed was also reportedly injured in the assault, while his close aide was killed.

While India has dealt has severe blow to Pakistan’s terror infrastructure, New Delhi has dropped hints that this may just be the beginning of much larger military operation against Pakistan if the enemy nations decides to mount a retaliatory response. “We are more than prepared to give a befitting reply,” Indian Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said at the press briefing.

‘Picture abhi baki hai…’

Meanwhile, a post on X by former Indian Army Chief Manoj Navrane has fueled speculations that India might be preparing for a much bigger response if Pakistan launches a retaliatory attack. “Abhi picture baki hai… (The movie is not over yet),” Navrane posted, implying that there is more to come after Operation Sindoor.

The post sparked a stir on X (former Twitter), with some users wondering whether the next target was Islamabad itself, while others expressed joy over the overwhelming success of Operation Sindoor and praised the Indian Armed Forces for their pin-point accuracy in targeting terrorists encampments without causing civilian casualties.

As per reports quoting sources, the former Army Chief’s cryptic post, and the hints dropped in the press briefing are a clear indication that Operation Sindoor might be a mere glimpse and a much more deadlier Indian response will follow if Pakistan fails to learn a lesson and decides to attack India.

Terror targets dismantled in Operation Sindoor

During the presser, it was revealed that the strikes, conducted between 1:05 am and 1:30 am early on Wednesday, were a coordinated effort by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, targeting nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) based on credible intelligence.

Operation Sindoor was launched to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, attributed to Pakistan-based terrorist groups, including LeT’s offshoot, The Resistance Front (TRF). The operation also targeted five camps in PoK linked to earlier attacks, such as those in Sonamarg (October 20, 2024), Gulmarg (October 24, 2024) and the April 20, 2023 and June 9, 2024, pilgrimage bus attacks.

The operation dismantled terror infrastructure linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen, said Colonel Qureshi, adding that the four terrorist camps destroyed in Pakistan are Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya.
