'Justice Is Served': Citizens Across Communities Rally Behind Armed Forces After Strikes On Pakistan Terror Camps; See Pics
People reacted with exuberance but also advised caution. Many Muslim groups took the lead in announcing their support for the government in its anti-terror military strikes in Pakistan and its occupied territory. Social media groups particularly drew attention to the fact that Colonel Sophia Qureshi from Gujarat was one of the two women officers who briefed the media in New Delhi about the night strikes on the terror camps.
Community organisations feted the armed forces for the retaliatory attacks. Raza Academy president, Saeed Noori, said, "We congratulate our armed forces for launching this campaign against terrorists and enemies of the nation. It is also clear that we are not fighting any country, but targeting terrorism. We have always stood and will continue to stand against terrorism. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our forces and fully support any decision made by our government and military."

Mansoor Khan, president of the Shia Islamic Board, said, "The Sufi Islamic Board fully supports the initiative taken by the Prime Minister and the Indian armed forces in retaliating against Pakistan. Innocent civilians were killed, and this resulted in rage among the masses. This will be addressed by the strikes in Pakistan and the Pakistan-occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir," said Khan.
Former Member of the Legislative Assembly and Samajwadi Party leader, Yusuf Abrahani, said that he was happy when he heard about the strikes on the terror camps. "Pakistan deserves it. If we continue this offensive for some days, Pakistan will stop its terror operations in India. What happened in Pahalgam was shameful; the terrorists killed people after asking them their religion," said Abrahani, who also asked citizens to follow the mock drill instructions.
Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, President of Jamaat-E-Islami Hind, said in a statement that eradication of terrorism was essential for the peace and security of the country. "Jamaat-e-Islami Hind considers terrorism a serious threat and a heinous crime against humanity, and deems its complete eradication essential for the safety, security, and peace of the country and its people," he said.
Hussaini said the entire country, regardless of religion or community, stood behind the armed forces and security agencies. "The action taken by the country's armed forces and security agencies against terrorism is being supported by the entire country, across all religions and communities. The people of India stand united with our forces," he said. However, Hussaini cautioned against using national security issues to create a sectarian divide. "We appeal to all political, social, and religious organisations and groups to maintain the country's unity, communal harmony, and mutual respect, and to demonstrate collective solidarity and responsible citizenship."
The Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad distributed sweets to passersby at Andheri station to express their support to the country's armed forces. Every Indian is celebrating Diwali to mark this achievement. We salute the brave soldiers of our army and pay homage to the matrushakti (women's power) that led Mission Sindhoor, the organisation said.
