3 held for plotting robbery in Gurugram
The Gurugram police arrested three persons with illegal weapons who were planning to commit a robbery at gunpoint.
An illegal pistol with a cartridge, an iron rod, a knife and a torch were seized from them.
According to the police, a team of the crime unit, Sector 43, got information on Tuesday that three armed miscreants were trying to rob passersby at gunpoint near Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29. On getting the information, a team of cops raided the spot and arrested the three accused.
Those arrested were identified as Raj Mohammad, Vishnu Sharma, a resident of Motihari district, and Anand Kumar of Rohtash district in Bihar. An FIR was registered against them at the Sector 29 police station.
“During interrogation, the accused confessed that earlier they had committed four thefts in Gurugram. Eleven cases of theft and possession of illegal weapons was registered against Raj Mohammad. Seven similar cases were registered against Anand Kumar in Faridabad. A theft case was also registered against Raj Mohammad in Gurugram. We are questioning the accused,” said the spokesperson of Gurugram police.
