India Urges Global Pressure on Pakistan and TRF Amidst Operation Sindoor; Calls for International Sanctions
In the wake of Operation Sindoor, India is stepping up its diplomatic offensive to hold Pakistan accountable for fostering terrorism. Indian officials are pressing the United States to formally designate The Resistance Front (TRF) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, citing TRF’s direct role in the Pahalgam attack and recent speeches by figures like Hafiz Abdul Rauf, who openly incited jihad for 2025. India has called upon the UN Security Council to recognize TRF as a global terror entity, emphasizing its growing threat.India also seeks action from allies. After securing a trade deal with the UK, Indian representatives are urging the British government to ban TRF and impose financial sanctions on Pakistan via the UK Treasury. Similarly, with a new US trade deal under discussion, India argues that Pakistan’s links with terror groups should factor into bilateral agreements Domestically, India sees a historic opportunity in Kashmir: while confronting Pakistan at the LoC, the government is being urged to embrace and support Kashmiris, particularly civilians affected by shelling in Poonch and Uri. Families of victims should be declared as terrorism victims and compensated under security-related expenditure schemes, including reconstruction of damaged homes.India is also strategically emphasizing the military significance of the Muridke and Bahawalpur strikes — key hubs of non-state terror organizations — in its global briefings. At the same time, Indian diplomacy aims to remind Turkey of its double standards, highlighting Turkish strikes on Kurdish militants while it questions Indian counter-terror efforts. With growing Chinese imports and a dual-front threat looming (LoC and LAC), India has also signaled that China must ensure Pakistan hands over India-wanted terrorists sheltering on its soil.Officials are also concerned about false international media reports, like those from The New York Times or Reuters, regarding a possible Rafale jet crash in Bathinda. The Indian government has been urged to have the Indian Air Force publicly deny such claims to protect the morale and global standing of its armed forces. In the emotional aftermath of martyrdoms such as that of Himanshi’s husband, just six days after their wedding, India’s leadership is being reminded to unite the nation and respond to both military and media warfare with strength and sensitivity.
