Store adequate water, particularly in homes dependent on electric pumps. Unplug sensitive electrical appliances to avoid damage from possible voltage fluctuations.
Avoid overloading inverters by limiting the use of high-wattage appliances. Keep perishable food items in coolers or limit refrigerator door openings to preserve temperature. Have emergency contact numbers for TANGEDCO and local electricians readily available. Power cuts were previously observed on Thursday in Ramapuram, Melur, and Mylapore, as part of ongoing maintenance across Chennai. TANGEDCO continues to thank the public for their cooperation and encourages citizens to stay prepared and safe during scheduled maintenance periods.
