PSL 2025: Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi Match Postponed After India's Drone Strike Near Rawalpindi Stadium

Due to the escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to reschedule the PSL 2025 fixture on May 8 in Rawalpindi between the Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi. As per a press release unveiled by the PCB, they will announce the revised dates in due course.

With the Indian government launching Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, the armed forces targeted nine centers of militant groups' hotspots. However, tensions heightened on Thursday after a drone reportedly fell within the Rawalpindi Stadium complex. India announced that the drones were in response to the skirmishes that Pakistan tried to engage in overnight. Indian missiles struck on several locations in Pakistan to destabilise the country.

In a statement, the PCB said:

"The Pakistan Cricket Board, in consultation with all the stakeholders, has decided to reschedule tonight’s HBL PSL X match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. The PCB will announce the revised date in due course."

"Moreover, VIP Gallery and enclosures ticket holders can obtain refunds from TCS Express Centers for tonight’s match, while tickets bought online for tonight’s encounter will be automatically reimbursed in the accounts used at the time of booking.."
