Siren Heard In Akhnoor As Flying Objects Detected, Power Blackout In Pathankot: Video

Tensions escalated late Thursday night as multiple unidentified flying objects were detected along the international border in Jammu-Kashmir's Akhnoor. All objects were successfully shot down by Indian defence systems. As a precautionary measure, blackout has been done in several areas of Jammu-Kashmir.

Sirens were heard in several key locations, including Jammu city, Akhnoor, Pathankot, and Poonch, triggering panic among residents.

Besides Jammu, drones were also seen in several areas of Pathankot.

“Complete blackout in Jammu. Loud explosions—bombing, shelling, or missile strikes suspected. Fret not—Mata Vaishno Devi is with us, and so are the valiant Indian Armed Forces,” former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid, posted on X (formerly Twitter).

On Wednesday, India carried out targeted strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor'. The attack by India comes weeks after the massacre of 26 people, mostly tourists, in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
