Malayalam Actor Vinayakan Arrested Again For Drunk & Disorderly Behaviour At Kollam Hotel; Released Later (VIDEO)

Malayalam actor Vinayakan was arrested on Thursday (May 8) for allegedly creating ruckus at a hotel in Kollam, Kerala, while under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place during his checkout from the hotel, where he had been staying since May 2 for the shoot of an upcoming film.

As per a report in PTI, an official from the Anchalummoodu police station confirmed that the actor created a commotion at the hotel, prompting the staff to call the police.

"He was over-alcoholic and was shouting at everyone, even the police," the officer reportedly stated.

The police took Vinayakan for a medical examination before bringing him to the Anchalummoodu police station. A case was registered against him under Section 118(a) of the Kerala Police Act, which pertains to public intoxication.

A video of the actor has surfaced on social media in which he is seen arguing with people around him.

Reportedly, he raised his voice and argued with the cops inside the police station as well.

The officer further stated that Vinayakan was released on station bail after one of his associates stood surety for him.

This is not the first time the actor has faced legal trouble due to alcohol-related behaviour. Similar incidents have been reported in the past, raising concerns over repeated misconduct.

In November 2024, he created ruckus on the streets of Goa. He was seen engaging in a verbal spat with a shopkeeper in a video. Dressed in casual attire, he was spotted standing with his hands behind his back, shaking continuously while speaking. Netizens assumed it could be that the actor could have been intoxicated. While others wondered whether he is performing a movie character.

In October 2023, he was detained at the Ernakulam police station in Kochi district for alleged misbehavior in an inebriated state.

Vinayakan, known for his roles in Malayalam cinema and appearances in major films such as Jailer and Marco, is yet to issue an official statement regarding the latest incident.
