FACT CHECK: Are airports across the nation closed to civilians?

The latest offering from misinformation campaigns taking social media by storm is that entry to airports across India has been banned.
This was circulated as a part of the fear spread by Pakistan's retaliation to India's Operation Sindoor, a joint operation between the Indian Army and Indian Air Force that launched precision strikes on 70 terrorists based in nine camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
This claim, however, has been debunked as false by PIB Fact Check, a fact-checking arm of the Press Information Bureau (PIB).
The X poster, identified in PIB Fact Check's screengrab as @waquarhaider10, further added a response to his post that identified airports in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gujarat, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
However, a while later, the poster's X account had been deleted.
Pakistan currently continues to retaliate for Operation Sindoor, claiming that they were well within their rights to respond.
According to India's defence ministry, Pakistani-origin drones targeted military stations at Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur.
"Military stations at Jammu, Pathankot & Udhampur were targeted by Pakistani-origin #drones and missiles along the International Border in J&K today," a tweet from the ministry read.
The ministry explained that these threats were swiftly neutralised using kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities, in line with established Standard Operating Procedures.
No casualties or material losses have been reported so far.
According to media reports, Indian security forces intercepted several drones and missiles that had been fired by Pakistan along the International Border.
Loud explosions were heard in Jammu, accompanied by the sounding of blackouts and sirens across the region.
