NCC cadets take part in mock drills at vet varsity
The cadets of 1 Punjab Remount and Veterinary Squadron NCC, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, demonstrated discipline, courage and strategic coordination during a mock drill on the premises. The exercise was aimed at preparing the cadets for potential national emergencies and enhancing their tactical skills under simulated combat conditions. The exercise was planned as per directions of the district administration and also to prepare cadets for such emergencies.
Cadets displayed their training through role plays involving both defence and rescue operations, supported by the permanent instructional staff of the unit.
Vice-Chancellor JPS Gill, lauded and motivated cadets and the entire team of NCC for undertaking the exercise. He said this initiative was part of the NCC’s broader goal to develop leadership and character among the youth and prepare them to serve the nation in times of need.
Col A Shrinivas Rao, Officer Commanding of the unit, along with the associate NCC officers praised the cadets for their commitment, agility and professionalism. Capt Nittin Dev Singh and Lt PP Dubey motivated the cadets and inspired them by telling them that once you are in uniform, your duty towards the nation increases manifold.
