Mohini Ekadashi Parana Time 2025:
Devotees should break the Mohini Ekadashi fast (Parana) on May 9, 2025, between 5:34 AM and 8:16 AM. The Dwadashi Tithi ends at 2:56 PM on that day, making it important to observe Parana before this time.
How To Break The Mohini Ekadashi Fast:
The Parana of the fast should be done during the auspicious timing on Dwadashi Tithi, the day following Ekadashi. Here's the proper ritual:
- Begin by performing Abhishek (ritual bathing) of Lord Ganesha and Lord Vishnu in your home temple.
- Offer turmeric, vermillion (kumkum), and coconut to the deities.
- Prepare and offer bhog (sacred food), and serve food to Brahmins (priests or holy men).
- After making a donation, devotees should consume the prasadam (offered food) along with Tulsi (holy basil) to end their fast.
- It is considered auspicious to include rice when breaking the fast on this day.
Important Guidelines To Follow:
- Avoid breaking the fast in the afternoon, as it is considered inauspicious.
- Do not break the fast during 'Hari Vasara', as doing so may render the fast and its benefits ineffective.
- Refrain from consuming tamasic foods such as brinjal (eggplant), garlic, onion, and masoor dal (red lentils) while breaking the fast. These foods are believed to reduce the spiritual merit of the fast.
