NSUI launches student support helpline to tackle exam stress
In a bid to support students grappling with academic pressure and emotional distress, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Thursday launched a nationwide student support helpline. The initiative, titled ‘You Are Not Alone’, aims to offer psychological, academic and situational support to students facing challenges, particularly during the ongoing examination season.
NSUI national president Varun Choudhary, while launching the helpline, said the growing cases of student suicides and mental health issues across campuses called for urgent intervention. “Every student in this country deserves support — not just in times of success, but also during struggle. Whether it is mental stress, academic challenges or life guidance—NSUI is by your side. You are not alone,” he said.
Students can call any of the following numbers to receive help: +91 70731 11100, +91 99821 11122, +91 76170 22756 and +91 91934 91000.
The support team includes trained volunteers and professionals equipped to provide both immediate assistance and long-term guidance.
