‘Salute Our Armed Forces’: Virat Kohli Pays Tribute To Indian Soldiers Amid India-Pakistan Tensions
Team India batter Virat Kohli issued a strong message of solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces amid rising military tensions between India and Pakistan post the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The conflict—which has involved missile strikes, air raid warnings, and increased troop activity along the Line of Control and in several Indian border cities—has raised serious security concerns and led to the suspension of IPL 2025 on Friday.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Kohli expressed solidarity with the Indian Army, praising their bravery and sacrifices in protecting the nation during the ongoing conflict.

"We stand in solidarity with and salute our armed forces for fiercely protecting our country in these difficult times. We are forever indebted to our heroes for their unwavering bravery and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices they and their families make for our great nation," wrote Kohli.
Amid escalating tensions with Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended IPL 2025 with immediate effect. The 58th match of the tournament was abandoned midway in Dharamsala on Thursday due to the situation, prompting the evacuation of players and spectators from the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
On Thursday, Pakistan carried out missile and drone strikes across several regions in India, including Jammu, Rajasthan and Punjab. However, India’s defence forces successfully intercepted the incoming threats, averting significant damage or casualties. The escalation came in response to India’s precision strikes a day earlier on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which were conducted following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.
