Nayagarh: Former ACF Convicted in DA Case, Faces 3-Year Imprisonment

Bhubaneswar: Prasant Kumar Mandhata, former ACF, Nayagarh Forest Division (Retired), was convicted today by the Additional Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, in a disproportionate assets case.
The Odisha Vigilance had charge-sheeted Mandhata in a case for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The court sentenced Mandhata to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000.
Following the conviction, Odisha Vigilance announced plans to approach the competent authority to stop Mandhata’s pension.
