Project to improve quality of education in Chamba schools

In a significant move aimed at enhancing the quality of education, a special pilot project will be implemented in 20 primary schools of Chamba district under the education blocks of Bharmour, Churah and Chamba. This initiative was announced by Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal during a review meeting held on the subject.

The two-month-long project will involve inspections of selected schools by Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Block Development Officers, and Tehsildars of the respective areas. During this period, students will be introduced to new, activity-based learning methods designed to make education more engaging and effective.

The DC said the objective of the pilot project was to bring about qualitative improvements in elementary education and simplify the learning process through activity-driven teaching. The project will also encourage the active involvement of parents, specially trained teachers, and voluntary organizations to ensure its success.

The meeting was attended by ADM Amit Mehra, Deputy Director of Elementary Education Balbir Singh, and OSD Umakant. Bharmour ADM Kulveer Singh and Bhattiyat SDM Paras Agrawal also participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
