IBS Hyderabad secures prestigious AACSB Reaccreditation for six years

JAMMU, May 9: ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad today announced the extension of its accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International for another six years.
The reaccreditation underscores IBS Hyderabad’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance and societal impact through business education.
AACSB is one of the world’s most esteemed accrediting bodies for business schools, with only 1,051 institutions accredited globally across 68 countries and territories, a mere 6% of all business schools worldwide.
In India, just 24 institutions (0.4%) hold this distinguished recognition, placing IBS Hyderabad in an elite league of globally recognized business education providers.
Speaking on the occasion, Antonio Goodson, Manager of Accreditation, AACSB International said, “On behalf of Sherif H. Kamel, Chair, AACSB International Board of Directors, it is our pleasure to inform you that the Peer Review Team’s recommendation for extension of accreditation of the business degree programs offered by your school has been concurred with by the Continuous Improvement Review Committee and also ratified by the Board of Directors. Congratulations to you, the faculty, students, staff, and all supporters of the school.”
Prof K S Venu Gopal Rao, Director of IBS expressed pride in the milestone, stating, “IBS has successfully received an extension of its AACSB accreditation for a period of six years after a positive recommendation from the Peer Review Team and ratification by the AACSB Board of Directors. The extension is a clear indication of the strength of our academic processes, our commitment to delivering quality across all management programs, and our focus on societal impact by embedding sustainability into our curriculum, research, and community engagement.”
IBS Hyderabad first earned AACSB accreditation in March 2020. The recent review involved a comprehensive assessment based on nine rigorous standards that evaluate strategic management, innovation, learning, teaching, academic and professional engagement and impact.
This landmark achievement is a testament to the dedication and collaborative efforts of the IBS faculty, students and staff, further cementing the institution’s reputation as a premier business school in India and globally.
