Multiple blasts reported from Akhnoor, loud explosions heard in Srinagar

India Pakistan tensions: The Indian Army has launched a series of attacks at nine selected locations inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) that were believed to be used for planning and directing attacks on India.

The strikes inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were confirmed by the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday, May 7, calling them a “focused, measured and non-escalatory” response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam where terrorists killed 26 civilians.

Blackout in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan

Pakistan used drones and indulged in artillery firing on the Indian border states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan which were responded to by the Indian Armed Forces as they intercepted the ammunitions.

The sensitive areas were put under blackout for security purposes immediately, reported WION adding that all air defence units along the India-Pakistan border have been fully activated to counter any potential retaliation.

Meanwhile, multiple blasts were heard in Akhnoor, Kashmir and there were reports of property being damaged in Rajouri as the tensions escalated.
