Breaking News: Indian Air Force Shoots Down 6 Pakistani Drones in Gujarat | ABP NEWS

In a major security operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) intercepted and destroyed six Pakistani drones attempting to infiltrate Indian airspace over Gujarat. Four drones were shot down from Naliya Air Force Station and two from Bhuj Air Force Station. These drones were reportedly targeting a crucial refinery installation in the region. Damage to this facility could have led to a severe disruption in India’s petroleum supply, indicating Pakistan's intention to inflict strategic economic harm. The region is also geopolitically significant, with routes connecting to Pakistan’s Badhin area and petroleum storage hubs, as well as leading to Karachi and Hyderabad. This makes the location a sensitive target for cross-border threats. Amid this, India faces an intensified information warfare campaign. False claims and misleading narratives—spread through international and Chinese media—have been firmly rejected by the Indian Defence Ministry and Armed Forces. Citizens have been urged to ignore unverified sources, including foreign outlets, and rely solely on official updates from the Indian government and PIB fact checks. India has also retaliated strongly, reportedly inflicting heavy damage on four major Pakistani air bases, destroying key infrastructure and runways. A formal briefing by the Indian military is expected soon.
