Karnataka high court rules aged parents living separately can still be dependents in accident compensation case

The Karnataka High Court dismissed an appeal by Bajaj Allianz. The appeal challenged compensation awarded to the family of G M Narayanaswamy. Narayanaswamy died in a 2009 road accident. The court affirmed that parents living separately can still be dependents. It also stated compassionate appointment of the son does not negate compensation.
