Partly Cloudy Sky, Light Rain With Thunderstorm Likely To Lash Delhi. Check IMD Forecast
The national capital is expected to witness a partly cloudy sky on Sunday with light rain expected to lash the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the city could also witness thunderstorms and lightning while issuing no warning.
Strong surface winsd between 30 to 40 kilometre per hour may "temporarily" increase upto 50 kilometres per hour during the thunderstorm, it added.
The weather forecast for adjoining NCR cities of Faridabad, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad are also expected to remain the same.
Delhi received light shower on Saturday bringing down the mercury with maximum temperature settled at 35.4 degree Celsius, 3.5 notches below the seasonal average.
The minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, 0.7 notch below the season's average, according to the IMD.
On Sunday, the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be logged at around 38 degrees Celsius and 27 degree Celsius, respectively.
Apart from Delhi, the weather department has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning in East and West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, West Rajasthan and East Rajasthan.
