Sikkim to get new railway line, Centre approves final location survey

The Railway Ministry has approved a final location survey for a new railway line in Sikkim, connecting Melli to Dentam via Jorethang and Legship. Northeast Frontier Railway will conduct the survey, aiming to enhance railway access to southern and western Sikkim. This 75 km line will extend from the Sivok-Rangpo project, fostering regional economic development and improved connectivity.
