Salman Khan deletes post about India-Pakistan ceasefire after online backlash: ‘Bhai chup raha karo…’
Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s most popular stars, is facing intense backlash after posting a tweet about the ceasefire between Indian and Pakistan. The now-deleted post read, “Thank God for the ceasefire…”. This came after both the nations agreed to cease hostilities following Indian Army’s launch of Operation Sindoor, a military response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed multiple lives.

While several Bollywood celebrities praised the Indian Army for its actions, Salman Khan’s silence on both Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor has left many netizens disappointed. One user commented, “Salman Khan deleted his tweet, made no posts about Pahalgam, while Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan also stayed silent during the terrorist attack on India.” While, another commented, “All these Bollywood workers @iamsrk, @BeingSalmanKhan, Aamir, Ranbir, etc. have huge fan base from Pakistan / Middle East with huge investments in Gulf countries. They know no harm will be done to them or their business interests by Indian nationalists. They don’t care.” A person tweeted, “Bhai chup raho karo kabhi kabhi.” Another wrote, “India Should boycott Salman Khan.”
The comments on social media suggested that Salman Khan seemed more focused on Pakistan’s welfare than recognising India’s suffering. The criticism grew so intense that the actor eventually deleted his tweet, though screenshots of it continue to circulate online. As of now, Salman Khan has not provided any official explanation, nor shared any new posts.
