Minister ETO donates blood to victims of Poonch attack

As part of Punjab government’s commitment to provide every possible assistance to citizens and families of security personnel in the border areas, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today not only extended moral support to the victims of recent Poonch attack, but also personally donated blood for their treatment at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar.

When the minister visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of Gurmeet Singh and his son Rajvansh Singh, the doctors informed him that Rajvansh was scheduled for surgery the next morning and there was an urgent need for blood. Without hesitation, Minister ETO immediately offered to donate his own blood, and the doctors proceeded to collect it for the operation.

Besides this humanitarian gesture, he also assured the family of full support and even shared his personal phone number with them.

This is not an isolated incident—it reflects the dedicated policy of the Punjab Government to support people in border regions in every possible way, he said.

In recent days, under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, several cabinet ministers have visited sensitive border districts such as Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Amritsar and Tarn Taran to meet with local citizens, farmers and families of service personnel, he added.

ETO said that these visits include not just reviewing the security situation but also delivering relief material, healthcare support and psychological aid.
