'Pahalgam Tak Paap Ka Ghada...': DGMO Says Armed Forces 'Ready For Any Future Mission'
India DGMO Briefing: The Indian Armed Forces, in a press briefing on the Operation Sindoor on Monday, said they are ready for any future mission. Giving details on Operation Sindoor carried out to destroy terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai said, "In the last few years, the character of terrorist activities has changed. Innocent civilians were being attacked. 'Pahalgam tak paap ka ye ghada bhar chuka tha'..."
The press conference was addressed by Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Ghai, Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti, and DG of Naval Operations Vice Admiral AN Pramod.
Director General of Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti said, "Our fight is not against the Pakistan Army, but terrorism. The Pakistan Army supported terrorists." The officer shared the composite picture of targets engaged by the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor.
The Indian military showed the debris of a likely PL-15 air-to-air missile, which is of Chinese origin and was used by Pakistan during the attack on India. The wreckage of the Chinese-origin YIHA and Songar drones that were shot down by India was also shown.
The Director Generals are the senior officials of the Indian armed forces responsible for overseeing all operations in India and along its borders.
Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian military targeted Markaz Taiba of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Muridke, Markaz Subhan Allah of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Bahawalpur, Hizbul Mujahideen's Mehmoona Joya Facility in Sialkot and the LeT's base in Markaz Ahle Hadith in Barnala and its camp in Muzaffarabad's Shawai Nalla, military officials said in a press briefing held on Sunday.
