Madhya Pradesh May 13 Weather Update: Storms, Rain Alert Issued Till May 16 In Bhopal, Indore & More

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh continues to witness unstable weather condition across the state, as multiple active system brings thunderstorms and rainfall in several regions.

The weather department issued an an alert in 38 districts of 7 divisions including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior-Ujjain, predicting strong and gusty winds reaching up to 30 to 50 km/h.

14 May: Rain might persist along with storm in Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Betul, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Ashoknagar, Guna, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dewas, Sehore, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh.

15 May: Districts including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Agar-Malwa, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Dewas, Sehore, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla and Balaghat might witness rainfall along with gusty wind.

Weather in major urban centres

Among the major cities, Gwalior recorded the highest maximum temperature at 39.6°C, followed by Jabalpur 39.2°C, Bhopal 38.4°C, Ujjain 37.5°C, and Indore recorded 35.9°C.Today the weather will remain changed in these districts. The only hill station in the state Panchmarhi recorded a temperature of 30.8°C

Temperature is predicted to soar up after 16th May

According to a senior weather man, this unstable pattern of weather might persist till 16th May due to multiple active systems. After May 16, the weather is expected to clear, and temperatures may soar up. Districts which has no impact of the active system are witnessing a spike in temperature

On Monday, several region experienced drizzle and overcast conditions and according to the forecast department this weather condition might prevail on Tuesday as well.

The districts which are likely to witness light rain and storms today include Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Shivpuri, Vidisha, Raisen, Betul, Sehore, Ratlam, and many others.

Several region gripped under intense heat

Despite rainfall and gusty winds in many districts, several regions of the state is gripped with intense heat. Khajuraho recorded the highest temperature at 41.4°C, followed by Satna at 40.7°C. Weather is expected to remain clear in Rewa, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions.
