Xiaomi Gears Up For Snapdragon 8s Gen 4-Powered Civi 5 Pro: Here's What We Know So Far

Xiaomi appears to be prepping a fresh addition to its Civi lineup, and this time, it's the main brand taking charge instead of the Redmi sub-brand. The upcoming Civi 5 Pro has now surfaced in the Geekbench database, revealing a key detail: it will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro surfaces with premium internals

The new smartphone was spotted with the model number 25067PYE3C on Geekbench, tipping off both its identity and core specifications. According to a tweet by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the listing shows the device is running on the freshly launched Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, clocked at multiple frequencies across its octa-core architecture. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 1 core at 3.21 GHz
  • 3 cores at 3.01 GHz
  • 2 cores at 2.80 GHz
  • 2 cores at 2.02 GHz

It also features the Adreno 825 GPU, indicating strong graphical capabilities — ideal for gaming and multimedia. The tested prototype is equipped with 16GB of RAM and runs Android 15 layered with Xiaomi’s HyperOS.

Successor to Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, launch could be near

The Civi 5 Pro will succeed the Civi 4 Pro, which made its debut in March last year. While the company hasn’t officially announced a launch date, the appearance on Geekbench suggests development is nearing completion.

Yadav, in his post, noted:

He highlighted key details, such as Android 15, the powerful GPU, and the substantial RAM, hinting that Xiaomi may be aiming for a premium experience with the Civi 5 Pro.

China-first launch, but could India be next?

So far, Xiaomi has kept its Civi series limited to the Chinese market, and that trend is expected to continue with the 5 Pro. However, the company did launch the Xiaomi 14 Civi in India last June, a rebranded Civi device, suggesting a possibility that the upcoming model — or a variant of it — could eventually arrive in India as well.

At this point, there are no details on the camera setup, battery size, or display specs. But with the powerful chipset and Android 15 on board, the Civi 5 Pro is shaping up to be a strong contender in the upper mid-range or affordable flagship segment.

While we await more official teasers or leaks, Xiaomi fans can rest assured: something powerful is brewing under the hood.
