Girls lead charge as Panchkula shines in CBSE, Haryana Board exam results

Panchkula students have delivered an outstanding performance in the CBSE Board (X and XII) and Haryana Board (XII) exams this year, with girls leading the charge.

The average pass percentage for CBSE board in Class 10 in the district stood at 92.69 per cent, with girls claiming an impressive 94.73 per cent to outperform boys who registered 91.02 per cent. The trend was similar for Class XII results — girls posting a 95.31 per cent pass percentage, far ahead of the boys’ 90.03 per cent helping Panchkula achieve a district average of 92.53 per cent to be placed fourth in Haryana behind Rewari (95.86 per cent), Mahendergarh (95.31 per cent) and Gurugram (93.60 per cent).

The achievement mirrors the overall success of the Panchkula CBSE region, which includes Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The region posted a strong 92.46 per cent pass rate in Class XII, once again with girls outperforming boys (93.76 per cent to 91.06 per cent).

Srishti tops dist

in Class X results

However, the standouts individual achievers. Srishti Sharma, a Class X student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, emerged as the Panchkula district topper by securing a perfect 100% score. The daughter of Rajeev Sharma, a government employee with CITCO, Srishti is a resident of Sector 25.

Adding to the district’s success story is Yashasvi Bhav, a Class X student from Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, who secured 99.8% (499/500). She not only topped her school but also stood as the second-highest scorer in Panchkula. Yashasvi, raised by her mother, Shammi Dheer, lives in Sector 9 and credits hardwork and practice. “I always made sure to give equal time to each subject because I believe often focusing on subjects like science and moths we forget about languages,” she said. She even secured 100 marks in Sanskrit, which she said was advised by her elder sister who too was one of the toppers last year and studies in Hasnraj Public School. She has now opted for non-medical and wishes to land a premium IIT institute seat after clearing JEE in another two years.

Students of Amaravati School also delivered good performances in Class X exam. The school’s Managing Director and Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal shared that Ginnisha Sehgal secured the top position in Class X by scoring 98.4 per cent. Other high achievers includes Kushal (97.4 per cent), Harsimrat and Vidhaan (97.2 per cent each), Supriya (96.6 per cent)

Class XII students excel

Two of Panchkula’s leading educational institutions — Bhavan Vidyalaya and Hansraj Public School — had good results in the CBSE Class XII Board Examinations 2025.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, witnessed an outstanding performance, with 57 out of 117 students scoring above 90 per cent. Among the stream-wise toppers, Akshita Jain (Non-Medical) and Maanas Sidher (Commerce) led the cohort with an impressive 99.2 per cent each. Kimaya Agarwal, topping the Humanities stream, secured 98.6 per cent, while Ishika Panghal led Medical with 96 per cent.

Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, continued its tradition of academic rigor with Taranpreet Kaur from the Humanities stream topping the school with 98.2 per cent.

The students not only scored high aggregates but also posted multiple perfect hundreds in subjects like Chemistry, Music, Psychology and Painting. Akshita, a JEE topper with a 99.96 percentile, aspires to pursue engineering from IIT, while Ishika, a Brain Bee finalist, aims to become a doctor. Maanas, known for his leadership and academic balance, eyes admission in the Delhi University, and Kimaya, a psychology intern and student editor, exemplifies all-round excellence.

Haryana Board

Meanwhile, Haryana Board Class XII result were also declared this evening with Government Model Senior Secondary Schools (GMSSSs) turning in a strong showing, producing several toppers across streams. In the humanities stream, Aashi Gautam of GMSSS, Sector 20, soared to the top with a remarkable score of 492 marks (98.4 per cent). Trailing her in second place, Sahil Sihni, also from GMSSS Sector 20, earned a solid 485 (97 per cent), while Angel from the same school completed the toppers’ trio with 484 (96.8 per cent) marks.
